Project management and technical and financial oversight for agricultural and agro-industrial businesses
A farm’s land, rooftops, and byproducts can generate energy and income, but there are various approaches, and not all are equally advantageous. Agrivoltaics, rooftop solar, the biomass supply chain, and digestate utilization: each has its own rules, incentives, and contracts, and often comes in the form of a proposal from an external developer. Onirico Suisse works alongside farm owners to select the most suitable option and evaluate its cost-effectiveness, incentives, and contractual terms—always acting in the owner’s best interest and with the goal of increasing the farm’s value without turning it into a utility.

We support farms in every way that the land and their operations can generate energy value.
Land and Roof Development
We explore ways to generate income from existing land and buildings, comparing the various options and their compatibility with agricultural operations before committing the farm to any one of them.
Agrivoltaics
We evaluate solar power systems integrated with crop cultivation or livestock farming—which are currently supported by a subsidy administered by the GSE through grants and feed-in tariffs—and assess their actual agronomic compatibility and cost-effectiveness. For more details, see the agrivoltaics page.
Roof-Mounted Solar Panels
We support the Agrisolare Park initiative for rooftop solar power—which doesn’t take up any land—by tailoring the system to the farm’s actual energy consumption. Learn more on the Agrisolare page.
Reviewing Agreements with Developers
We examine lease agreements and surface rights proposed by third parties from both a technical and economic perspective, because an agreement lasting several decades carries as much weight as the investment itself, and the property owner must understand the consequences before signing.
Supply Chain and Digestate
We oversee the procurement of biomass and the agronomic use of digestate as a biofertilizer, within the constraints of the Nitrates Directive.
Drone Surveys and Operations
We provide drone-based surveys of land and crops, crop monitoring, and drone-based treatments to support planning and management.
What We Check
To ensure that a transaction becomes a solid, compliant source of income rather than a long-term burden, certain factors must be verified before committing to it.
Cost-Effectiveness of the Tool
Which solution is more profitable in this specific case, and whether it makes more sense to rent from a third party or invest on your own. The answer depends on the company's financial figures, not on a general rule.
Eligibility for Incentives
Requirements and timelines for PNRR measures—which are currently managed largely by the GSE through concession agreements—along with the grounds for termination that must be avoided. The Agrisolare Park operates in phases: the 2026 phase has closed, and the goal is to be ready for the next one.
Terms and Conditions of Contracts Offered by Third Parties
Term, rent payments, obligations, and termination clauses for leases and surface rights, viewed from an economic and operational perspective rather than a purely formal one.
Agronomic Compatibility
The actual continuity of agricultural activity—not merely formal compliance with the requirement. This is what distinguishes a genuine agrivoltaic project eligible for support from a photovoltaic project in disguise.
Environmental and Permitting Requirements
Land use, the Nitrates Directive as it applies to digestate, landscape protection, and permitting processes—all of which, if neglected, can halt or scale back the project.
Supply Chain and Digestate
Continuity of supply and the utilization of digestate within regulatory limits.
How We Work
We work with the property owner to identify the right solution, assess cost-effectiveness and incentives, review the terms of contracts proposed by third parties, and—once a course of action has been chosen—coordinate with stakeholders and suppliers and oversee the implementation. We always maintain the owner’s perspective, with the goal of preserving the company’s value over time. We understand both the agricultural and energy sectors and know where a transaction risks harming the business or tying the company to unfavorable terms.
